Aye, I set off from Mam Tor carpark early (8.15) and crested Brown Knoll at 9.00 just as the blizzard started. Glad of balaclava, mitts and flapjack. Bailed out from doing the full round after 2 hrs at Grindslow Knoll when I got a call to say the folk I was planning to meet at Ringing Roger (you know who you are!) were still sat in front of the fire sipping hot chocolate in Hayfield!
Well, there you go OB1. The girls did the WHOLE route on Saturday, no sipping of hot choccy in front of fires for us.
Running in the snow all day yesterday recceing BG leg 4 - about 3 inches hit the Lakes on Saturday night. It was a bit tricky spotting the trods, & we were slipping all over the place! Great views later on once the cloud started lifting though.
