    Which are themselves quite expensive as "pumps" go. Any good purevyor of school uniforms will knock you out a pair of pumps for a £5 I get a good mileage from mine off and on road and tbh it doesnt break the bank when they do finally fall apart

    Good luck for the Hobble mate... my 13 year old needs ferrying to and from Guide camp (and probably picking up when horrendously lost on the navigational challenge of the hike).

    I should still manage nigh on 10,000' this week and have altered my emphasis to a bit more pace and lactate tolerance.

    Inov-8s by the way...

    I am a big fan even though the lace eyelet things seem to go on mine. However, a bloody good fell shoe and they all have strengths and weaknesses.

    I'm not sure about their wear and tear but aren't inov8's for the chubby, flappy, wide footed brigade? Those of us with elegant feet wear Walshes
