Mmm - breathing??? I always end up in oxygen deficit trying beat Ian Holmes to the first bottleneck; I then crash and burn after 1 mile. Might try the nipper/JD strategy next time..

Had a weekend off running(unplanned) - nipped out on my bike and bumped into lots of people recce-ing the route - was really envious as the conditions were amazing - hoping we get to keep this early spring sunshine for Sunday

    Hi Trig

I hear you made some route changes while I was sunning myself in Brazil. Got any details?

Hope my legs are recovered in time for Sunday's run. Well done to all the Hurriers (Pete B, Peter F, Charlie et al.) who left me in their wake at the Hobble. Hope I make a speedier showing at Heptonstall .

And you brought some sun back with you! Yes there are definitely a few minor route changes; Charlie B will pop up complete guide asap

Trig, having failed now for two years to take advantage of your organised reccys, and missed the soup, I've decided to turn up on Sunday and give the race a go. What could go wrong?! Really looking forward to it.

I knew you would finally sucumb to the flyer and forum onslaught!

Did I see you on Sunday in Haworth??? Sounds like the Hobble was a big success (great timing to get the race history in Fellrunner) - quite a few of the Heptonstall organisers were hobbling on Sunday just in case their race day roles stop them running on 18th.

I heard Heptonstall might be a featured K&C club race?????

Nice map Charlie - this is the one to print off on race day (to stuff in your bum bag with whistle compass hat gloves and full body cover)

Route changes are in Colden Woods different exit stile from woods to field, short cut to cattle grid in Walshaw Dean, and safer path down to the iron railings in Crimsworth Dean - no significnat change to overall distance

    Like the unmanned clipper CPs
