I've found that whatever fellshoes I where on rock/slabs I'm never as confident as I would be in a road shoe. Nearly crashed out on autumn leaves fell race on the slabs wearing a pair of walshes and done similar in Rx Terrains.

I believe Cloud Nine is introducing compulsory pit-stops next year.
Every runner must carry flat road racing shoes, cross-country spikes and fell shoes.
All runners must start in road racing shoes. A marshal will be positioned at the end of the track to make sure you change into spikes for the muddy fields and another will be at the stile before the Cloud to assist runners in changing into fell shoes. Shoes can be changed again at the same places on the way back.

The soles look nice and aggressive, but with the comfort of swoops- I'd be interested hoe you get on with them. How much for a resole?

Don't think today was a real test though Pete.
I ran in my Swoops and had no problem.

    Hi Hillybear,

I'm trying to decide what to replace my now dead Mk1 Swoops with and saw you had got better soles put on yours. How are they going now?

I'm currently walking round the house with a new swoop on one foot and a Inov8 mudroc280 on the other. I don't think the new swoops are as snug in the forefoot but I loved the old ones so i'm tempted to go for the new ones BUT the slippy sole thing is a problem. Even walking on the smooth kitchen floor I can feel the swoops slide whereas the mudrocs grip.

Are your resoles still going strong?

I have Swoop II with LSR studs and they are so much better than the original. The only (slight) downside is the rubber is soft and wears quickly especially because the studs are so big.
