hann maybe temper your training down a bit if work is full on to avoid getting run down (body not differentiating between mental stress and training stress and all that)

just updating form long weekend away in yorkshire dales - staying in van with the bambino near arncliffe

on way up got dropped off and cycled from silsden

You are right Ratfink, it is what coach Russ said as well... so he gave me an hours turbo that was easy enough for my current levels of overworkedness yet still doing something for my cycling fitness while taking up on an hour of my time

So I did: 25 minute warmup, working up to 145 bpm in the first 5 minutes, then staying at 145 for 20 minutes... followed by 25 minutes at 155 bpm (treshold) followed by a 10 minute warmdown...

Well I've managed to cycle everyday for the past 3 days. Still trying to build my biking legs back up & today managed another 18 miles, with 4 good hills. Having a day off tomorrow & won't cycle now till I'm out with the TNT on Sunday

Come on Zoot get your mo-jo back and get in the saddle.
Han, sleep is one of the most important factors when training hard. Make sure you get enough.
Just a steady 28k to work this morning with a chilly easterly breeze.
Going to put an effort in on the homeward journey.

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

well I've just had a very nice 25.5m bike ride with Masham Man today. However, the most notable ride was on Tuesday evening...all you cyclists with your fancy pants bicycles, check out the top speed that I did on my 18 year old Marin Bolinas Ridge:thumbup:

The big dip at the end was when I stopped to chat to a friend but I also needed to let the tyres cool down after that big burst of speed.

Good effort Hes, enjoyable hour out I trust?
My type of ride. Effort at the start, reward at the end, similar to a fell race.
    Keep it up.

Thanks Stagger, yes, it was a lovely ride. Its a good route for an evening, lots of sharp little hills and a long downhill section to take me home.
