Myo xp belt with accu battery for me , looked at the apex at the time but even though the quoted light output is brighter it doesn't last very long at that output.
As an example the the Silva L1 has a quoted beam distance of 63m but after 30 mins this drops to 37m and after 10 hours 13m these figures are slightly better than a standard Myo xp but with a accu battery pack the Myo has a 41m beam for 12 hours.
I need a long lasting full beam because I'm going to do all the lakeland classics at night in winter but its overkill for most runners
The only slight problem is the battery stopped working in March (bought it in November) and I haven't got it sorted yet (my fault not petzl this is a reminder for me to take it back)
As for navigating in bad weather I tend to put the Myo on its lowest setting and hold it at waist height as you get dazzled by the reflection otherwise.

. If you want the XP and you get up to Keswick early enough you should easily get one in the shops there.
, so expecting to be leaving Honister early doors. Can't wait!
If you are really stuck for a headtorch, take an ordinary torch, best you can get hold of. You will find that in mist you tend to take headtorches off anyway and hold them at about waist level because the beam just bounces right back into your eyes otherwise.
