A real good 6 days of cycling in this cracking weather 155miles covered and two 3 mile runs over 8 days. Inspired to keep cycling to work. Sounds as if the winter clothes will be back on next week
took my grandson to cogset today at Salt Ayre in Lancaster and there were crits on afterwards and the organiser persuaded me to have a go at the Tuesday night crits starting on 10th April. I have just applied for my BCF licence!!

apart from setting a new record for being lapped on the earliest lap ever.

Go geronimo! you'll be fine!
Well, I cycled from Meanwood to Skipton, ran to White Wells then down to Ilkley, hopped on a bus to Skipton and cycled home to Leeds. I should have saved the bus fare of £2.50 and run back to Skipton, it's complicated![]()
I did Moley
Went MTB-ing today, good 50 kms, took about 6 hours, 3hrs 38 riding time, including a lunch stop and several other types of stops along the way, to look at the map to find bridleways, remove boulders from an otherwsie rideable descent, to look at the ponies, take endless photographs, to show lost walkers the way and to sit in the pub 1 km from home at the end, with a pint and some crispsAll in glorious sunshine!
Hey, good point! Well, I managed to transform the disaster of misjudging how long it would take me to cycle to the Baildon Boundary Run, and would have had no time to sort out safety pins, change of shoes, usually faffing, and it was looking too tight, as I approached Shipley on the towpath. So I decided to carry on along the towpath to Skipton and run from there to Ilkley etc... And as I was fed up at missing Baildon, it was sweet as the bike ride and then the run across the Parson's Allotment (or something like that) to Ilkley was heaven and more than made up for missing Baildon. I haven't really run for 3 weeks so it was grand. I left my pannier in a shop which shut at 4.30 pm so had to hop on a bus - would preferred to have run back... Bus driver stopped as I ran in front of his bus and accepted a tenner - very impressed! What a great day![]()
