Adidas Kanadia Trail

Hm. I'm doing a 3P training run this weekend, I might brush the dust off my Kanadias and give 'em a go.

Of course your Goretex ones aren't so good in the wet as they fill up with water! My feet may get wet in mine but at least the water can squeeze out again If the weather stays like this though yours will be great.

Just run 52 miles over the weekend in my Kanadia TR4s. I love them! Comfy, grippy and no foot issues at all despite hard trails.

I am a great fan of these as cheap and cheerfully coloured shoes and am on my 5th pair now after running several other pairs into the ground. I've run lots of summer fell races in them (sticking to La Sportiva crosslites or inov8 mudclaw272 for really muddy stuff).
They were superb on saturday when I ran the Excalibur Marathon in them on the Clwydian Hills and are cushioned enough to cope with hard ground or the occasional bit of road between fells and trails. They have pretty good grip, I agree and before I discovered the delights of inov8 I had used them for reccying a couple of legs of a summer BG and they were ideal.
I've recently started doing some very long training sessions for a couple of Ultra events and did a 30 mile event in them last summer with no hint of any blisters or plantar problems which i'v had with other shoes in the past.
I just wish they'd stop doing the womens version in blummin pink - I ask you!

I got some TR4's recently and I'm very pleased with them. Great for trails and runs with roady sections, good for walking too. Nice and comfy, good grip.
Had to go for size 10's even though I am a 8.5 in inov-8's.

Yep, my usual size 9 turns into size 10 with Adidas. I think they're a good value training shoe, if a little rigid in the sole.

yes my usual size 5 are a size 6.5 in these TR4 - they do come up small

I too ran the Excalibur in pink Kanadia, went for one size bigger, was worried even then that they were too tight, but with a thin pair of socks were OK. Entered the Coed Brenin Marathon in June, I'll save them for then, back to the old Innov8 for training on the fells

managed to get a bright turquoise and yellow pair a few months ago that I ran Excalibur in - except they're not so bright any more ha ha. The pink pair to the left of my avatar pic on the top of Skiddaw have long since bitten the dust!

Actually, I think that rigidity is an asset. Compared to running in my innov8s, my feet felt better protected from the rocky trails I was on at the weekend. I've tried Hokas but I really didn't like the spongy "insulated" feel (or rather lack of it). I never really had to worry too much about foot placement.

Still wearing my Kanadia 2s on dry fell and road. Great all rounder for me and no rubbing, although I have to deliberate lace mine looser than other shoes as they pinch a lot on top of the ankle otherwise.
