Just to update this (on the off chance that anyone else other than me entered), the RO's have finally released more details of how this will work.

The course has 6518m of climb! (was originally 5400 ish when I entered) with a 34 hour time limit (down from the original 40 hour estimate). On the bright side, at least some food is being offered at checkpoints now
