    Re: Todays Bike Ride

I was quite chuffed today, I put batteries in the bike computer thingy (which hasn't worked yet), and did 15 miles in a few minutes under the hour - on my road bike . Dom, please send me some of your "gofaster" drugs!!!
Been re-cuperating with mixture of beer, wine and ouzo, is that ok?

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Easter has always been the beginning prime cycling time.

100km this morning. Pleasure every minute of it but as expected, I struggled badly, longest ride of the season was 50km, and that was yesterday...

Got to get some cycling fitness. Not sure how to get it with family, job, house, garden, allottment, swimming, running....

Very damp & misty in the Ribble Valley today - got the stead all wet & dirty. Just a little 42 mile loop with slightly surreal stop off near Whitewell. Vintage Champagne not quite the same as PSP 22.............

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Was camping in north Norfolk over the Easter weekend and rented a couple of bikes from our campsite at Burnham Deepdale: 24-miles out and back to Binham via Burnham Market, Wighton and Walsingham.
Amazing cycling territory out there - the roads are the quietest I've seen in the country by a longshot, maybe anywhere in the world.
And pretty flat too so great for clocking up lots of high-tempo miles. My sort of cycling that, not that keen on big hills.
(Although the girlfriend - who is not a cyclist at all - was a bit miffed at a) the distance and b) me calling it flat as a pancake.)
