Game on now. Must admit I was one of the people who'd written City off a few weeks ago but not anymore. Despite that, I'd still make Man U slight favourites. I think they've a reasonable chance of getting at least a draw at the Etihad and even if they don't City have to go to Newcastle, which will not be easy at all. Whatever, its great to see a title race back on again.

No Ashley Young in the team though Swoop. Fancied him for a hat-trick of dodgy penalties today, Fergie must be kicking himself.

The BBC are trying to explain why the title race is not all over when United were 8 points ahead quite recently.
Their Sports Correspondent Chris Hollins says it is because United didn’t take Wigan seriously even though they had beaten Liverpool and were to go on to beat Arsenal.
Their Football Correspondent Mike Ingham says it is because Everton had been knocked out by Liverpool in the FA Cup Semi Final and consequently didn’t have one eye on Wembley.
However, it is their former Arts Correspondent Rosie Millard who has come up with the real reason that it is not all over. She has discovered that there is currently a world shortage of fat ladies who can sing!

I think you have to say that just as happens in our Premier League, bottom can beat top and sometimes does.
Wigan played exceptionally well recently and until yesterday when Fulham scored late on would have been at the top of the recent form table with Newcastle.

Everton are one of those teams that when they are up for it, can be quite formidable. Weird how with a FA Cup Final place up for grabs they couldn't turn it on against Liverpool. They played well today though and some of the attacking football was excellent - although the defense was poor.

Look at the Prems Goal Difference.
City +60, Utd +54 looks dominant when the next best is +24 Arsenal. But 6 are in positive double figures. The league is more competitive.

Contrast ours with Spain where Real Madrid are +79 and Barcelona +71 Goal Difference with no other team in double figures and 5th place Levante with a +1.

I bet Roy Hodgson enjoyed today

Bloody hell - Malcolm Allison and Joe Mercer, Swales out and Franny in (then out,) Helen the bell, defeat at Stockport, SWP getting sold, Kinkladze getting sold, relegation after relegation, misery after misery, then Dickov and that goal, Keegans swashbuckling side, Robinho signing at the last gasp, the semi, the final, the trophy, the 6-1, 8 points behind, 4-4, three points behind....... What on earth could be in store for us now.

It's written I can feel it. Come on City :w00t:

    3 games, 3 wins, champions

    Sounds easy doesn't it?

It will be a miracle but its exciting that it's back in our own hands.

?...I can't imagine any ref awarding a penalty for Fergie kicking himself....Actually he might get one at home, that wouldn't surprise me.

I think we'll beat you because we go into the game knowing that a draw is no use to us next monday. The title is in OUR hands and if we settle for anything less than victory, we are done for. Mancini must unleash the dogs of war with full force. Terminate the Rags with extreme prejudice.
