Good news Karen. You could always toddle 'round with me for an easy-paced one. I know all the best lines too. Same goes for you twinkletoes. Go for it.

Hi Simon - Have you a craft plan for retrieving your car at the finish!

"A mix of areas of dry weather, showers, and persistent rain, and small risk thunder, hail and possibly wet snow highest tops."

I almost wish I was doing it this year

I'm afraid I am relying of the kindness of another competitor's partner for the lifts to the start and back home from the finish.

Probably worth putting a small bet on glorious sunshine, then.

Sounds like it is going to throw everything at us - definitely reproofing my waterproof jacket tonight then...

Thank you Britnick! Think Im going to need all the help I can get... Innov8 fell shoes it is. off to buy 300g of marsbars now and replenish my energy gel supply. Do people tend to carry a lightweight fleece, as it will get a darnsight cooler come 9pmish, also thinking if we have to wait for regrouping.

    Re: Fellsman

Given the mass organisation of this event, I have been scrutinising the handbook which we all received, to check for final arrangements. I wasn't sure of something so asked the organisers, who have asked me to post their response on here to help us help them!
    Basically:

If you are checking in on the Friday night at Threshfield then travelling independently to Ingleton Saturday morning YOU NEED TO LET THE FELLSMAN KNOW VIA EMAIL ASAP THAT YOU WILL BE COLLECTING YOUR TALLY ON SATURDAY MORNING AT INGLETON AND DO NOT REQUIRE THE BUS FACILITY FROM THRESHFIELD ON SATURDAY MORNING. If you are only collecting your tally from Ingleton, having kit checked on Friday night at Threshfield, you should arrive by 8.30 am Saturday morning.

They will ask you on Friday when you kit check but the sooner they know numbers for buses the better- will save over ordering and thus money!

Twinkletoes, good on you-you will breeze round it and if anyone is an expert on the area it's you! See you on Saturday!
