Considering what we have been having, that does sound quite good!

My kids have marked up a couple of jam jars to measure rainfall and left them outside, over the last few days they are now 1/4 full:w00t:

There's a load of stuff on sale at the event start - or at least there is when it's in the community centre! So if you have forgotten anything don't worry, you can usually get it at the event.
I might have a few hours spare on saturday but I'm not sure yet - if I have, is it ok to just turn up at Threshfield and offer to help out? I live not far away and having done the event a few times it'd be nice to put something back.

Forecast isn’t looking too bad. I am a bit worried about getting cold overnight – looks like it could get a bit nippy.

Getting really excited and nervous now, feel like a kid before Christmas but is Santa going to bring me that shiny new bike or will it be a stocking full of coal??

    Sarcasm, cynicism and irony aside...
First time I've entered the Fellsman - really excited and looking forward to it.
I'm sure everyone's going to have a great time.
Take care and I'll see you out there...

Shock, horror, probe! Rain in the Yorkshire Dales alert!!!!

From the met office the Dales on average can get up to 2,300 mm (whats that about 90 inches?) of rain a year? That must be getting on for 25 to 30 jam jars full

If we all save up our jam jars (I have at least 50) we could fill them with rain water and send them to the southerners to water their gardens with now they have a hose pipe ban.

That's exactly how I feel Emma. I can't concentrate on anything and am feeling really jittery. Wish I wasn't self-employed and I could be doing this procrastinating and get paid for it!
