    Re: Forum Champs

I think we can allow dispensation if the results aren't out!

what about those that said they were doing 3 Peaks, TWA, Anni Waltz, Coledale - what's their excuse?!

meanwhile... I have news of my own to report, namely a storming run at the Cake Race today
    winner was 1:06:55 = 4015 secs
    I managed 1:37:33 = 5853 secs
    so points = (1-(5853-4015)/4015)*100 = 54

now that I seem to be on an upward trend, the pressure is on for me to improve on this at Bollington Festival next week... :w00t:

I managed 51 points at the 3 Peaks so am definitely sticking with the 73 from Moelwyn!

OK - sorry for delay, was waiting for some other results but please can I now claim TWA for April? Winner 2.54.49, me 4.07.41 which I think is 62 points.
Had a decent run at Coniston but so did the winner so Fairfield or Jura for May.

    MarkG - not sure how you arrived at 62pts - I make it 58 [14861-10489=4372, 4372/10489=0.417]

looks like I'm not racing this coming weekend after all - seems I neglected to remember having agreed to set up a surprise party for Missy Sluglette's 7th birthday

hopefully though, I'll still manage to cram in another short May race in the form of the Vanessa Chappell

Just checking, seeing as there have been a few arithmetic errors recently (guilty!), that this is the correct formula for calculating points:

I'll be doing the Fairfield Horseshoe this weekend.

My time for James' Thorn: 36:04; winner's time: 34:48
I think that gives me 96 points.

Luckily, Jack had raced on the Saturday.

I've also updated my next races. Not that I'll get anywhere near 96 points again.

    Re: Forum Champs

Hmm, someone told me about this over the weekend. I should have shown some interest earlier; I've lost 4 months already. Daz, any chance of joining in as a latecomer? Not sure how I reproduce the table with my details.
So far this month for me it's been Chunal, Moorfield 5k (does that one count?) and James's Thorn. For the remainder of the month are Brecon Beacons 40, OCT (you're responsible) and Northants Ultra 35. Rainow 5 and Vanessa Chappell are possibilities I'm holding in reserve.
For June it's The Games 100, Baslow Boot Bash 26, Classic Quarter 44 and Whaley Waltz. Other cheeky little fell races may be slipped in at short notice depending on my availability. Will that do to be going on with?

Nick - it's best 6 months to count, so you can still do a full set

we need your time and the winner's time for Chunal and James' Thorn...

    Re: Forum Champs

I completed the Fellsman but it was hard graft and got cancelled due to the weather and people dropping like flies. The results still aren't out but the winner was Jez Bragg in 11 hours and 2 minutes and I did it in approx 18 hours and 18 minutes so let's stick with my previous result for April!
