Shortish club run out into the Howgills from Cautley tonight. About 6m and 2000ft. Warm and Sunny with fog rolling in from the sea.

Trot out over Scout Scar yesterday morning, an up and down yesterday evening in the Howgills with Kendal AC and a tough few hours this morning from Wet Sleddale over Selside Pike, Branstree, Tarn Crag, Grey Crag and a few minor tops in the Shap Fells... bloody hard work up there in the heat and lots of pathless, boggy ground. It's very quiet up there and little trodden, a very different corner of the Lakes.
A ridiculously hot 12 miles from Lancaster to the top of Clougha Pike and back. Wasn't planning on going off-road but it was far too hot to stay on the road and decided to try and gain some height to cool off! Didn't see anyone up there.
Very hot 8m with dog, plenty of dips in the river en route.
51m/12800ft for the week plus 50m on singlespeed as well, think I'll treat me self to a pint or two tonight:thumbup:
Fantastic day in the sun on Kinder. Started with a lap round the Mount Famine race route. Then to the reservoir and climbed up Sandy Heys. " Enjoyed " that so much I decided to go back down and climb it all again. That hurt ! Back to the car to top up on drinks before climb up to Kinder Low, down to Upper Booth and staggered back over Jacobs Ladder.
Around 20 miles and 6300 ft climbing.
Same as you now Steve, pint or 2 tonight
