Just arrived back from a glorious week in Scotland!! Jura race was my first time also!! Half way up the first 'pap' I thought I was gonna dnf, but I kept telling myself that my training would pay of, and it sort of did!! Those climbs are long and steep and rough!! Cramped a bit on last climb after getting all clever and starting to pass people!! But it was a great experience over all. Did the usual at the end, told our lass I definately would never ever bother doing it again, then the idea that I enjoyed it popped into my head from knowhere. I might well be back! After that we went and did a wee canoe in the bay and headed north, did the pap of glencoe, had another paddle, and up to see friends on the northern tip of the top (Strathy Point).
Cheers organisers, marshals etc etc...more medium t-shirts next time tho' ta!!
