Without bothering to go back and check - but I think it may have been me, a runner, who started using the phrase "scantily clad". As it was I had exactly enough kit to keep me comfortably warm - even when in full bonk in the horizontal hail on the top of Gt Whernside.
Andy A: I agree "Can we all do better next time" was perhaps a bit patronising!
Anyone received their tally yet? Just seen something on that "other social networking" site?
Yes, almost in mint condition....so many holes left to punch.
"Get yourself together, Jones" - Ray Davies
not yet but sounds imminent.........
I got mine back a couple of days ago. It's like a doily.
Talking of those tallies, I remember earlier on in the event in the sunshine, seeing what looked like occasional camera flashes emanating from runners far ahead. Although it was far too far away for me to see (we're talking a mile or more) I assumed it was their tallies blowing wildly in the wind and occasionally reflecting the sunlight straight back at me.

... continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.
just got my tally card back all holey like a lace dolly :-)
Does the Harvey/BMC Mountain Map of the Dales cover the whole route or does it miss the Gragareth section?
Ta P
It misses Gragareth
