no. 18 for me, and wearing purple Fell ponies vest

still got a sore knee from my tumble at Ennerdale, but pretty sure it's just superficial bruising
gonna try a test jog tomorrow, but can't see it stopping me

    especially in light of:

    "Saturday
A generally drier and brighter day on Saturday. Just patchy hill fog possible over the peaks, but some bright or sunny spells. Moderate to fresh westerly winds. Freezing level above the summits. "
    sorry Yiannis!

I'm no.1 !!! The pressure! Peter Dougals if you're reading make sure you get a photo!

Yes, the forecast is picking up nicely but it will be wet underfoot. Was going for Roclites but I think I'll wear the Mudclaws.

I'm not running this year due to baby, but my mum and dad are marshalling at Ogwen road crossing - say hello to them.
Have fun - I'll miss it.

I'll have to stick with the Crosslites, pretty much the only servicable off road shoes I've got!! Got accomodation near Aber sorted at last so 'll just go straight to the start to save faffing about. Our lass can drop me then pop back for her brekkie!! Then, hopefully she'll have a wee ramble up the tourist path to carry me and my kit down off the top!

All the best for tomorrow. Am running in the mountineers section in a good old pair of boots.

Say hi as you go past to us slow ones, we hurt too.

I usually go for mum and dad. Colin is the road crossing guy, Barbara is at the campsite - I think... They take their duties very seriously, a smile will brighten their day (as with any marshal)

Good luck, it can't be easy with a big pair of boots and full rucksack!

    Re: Welsh 1000s Race

Why are entries so tight for this event?

Sarah got refused entry this week.. with the womens fell running scene in Wales at an all time low.. so bad its possible Wales won't field a team for the Snowdon International race.. it seems crazy that they'll turn down past winners of the race.. most of the lakeland longs are entry on the day aren't they if places allow..

The welsh longs are under represented as it is, crazy strict entry systems just exasperate the situation..

It appears that there will be route changes due to the weather. Yiannis
