Fitness test this Saturday for my Pyrenees race, fingers crossed
Good luck with the fitness test LR, sensible to not race tonight with bigger fish to fry (not sure Adel Crag quite replicates the Pyrenees!!)

Nice short sharp blast around Adel Woods last night - in fact too short & sharp for me so happy with sub 34 mins.

Results at http://www.yvaa.org/ Is that the Mischeavous Elf in 2nd place (again)? Also Rob Furness running as a guest.

Correct! My club captain said it was a good course so I thought I'd have a crack at it. Reckon I could've gone quicker actually, but misjudged the last section (they did say 5miles at the start and it was nowhere near) and had plenty of energy left at the end, whoops!

Still happy enough with 28:41 and 15th overall, first Horsforth Harrier home by 9 places as well. Shame my captain pulled his hamstring though

General consensus on the distance appears to be 4.5 miles max.

This year's Pudsey race tonight, mostly in Black Carr Woods & along Pudsey Beck before the climb up to the Bankhouse.....anyone else likely to be running?

looks interesting...Wife used to live at the end of Fulneck as a teenager and the bank house was where we went for our first official date

Was definitely interesting IDP, in a mudfest sort of way. Amazing to think the valley was bone dry less than 2 weeks ago and certainly wetter/muddier than I've known it for this time of year.

A good course and race well organised by Pudsey Pacers - thanks to all.

Good to see & have brief chats to Rob Furness (running as a guest) & Superflyguy. Meanwood valley in a fortnight next on the YVAA agenda.

Nice to see you too, had a lot going on and didn't want to lose everybody. Felt like I had a shocking run, came in 13th I think but should really have been top 10. Just didn't have any energy in my legs tonight. Had to briefly walk on the climb up to bankhouse! Not good

great atmosphere last night. the crowd of supporters at the top of the final climb seemed to really enjoy it. the course was pretty good: three stream crossings, many knee deep muddy puddles and slippy sliddy descents. all good fun!

Meanwood race tonight - should be another muddy one though I'd imagine nothing like Pudsey was!
