    Re: Forum Champs

Multiterrainer - well spotted! sorry dom, 49 points it is:
    3652-2411=1241
    1241/2411=0.51
    subtracted from 1=0.49
    x100=49

also noticed that I diddled myself out of 1 whole point at Edale - 54:30 cf 35:33 = 47 points (not 46)
(I mistyped the winning time as 34:33, but that would've given a completely different result, so not quite sure why I put 46)

also, my Bob Graham support duties for this weekend have been postponed, so I'll probably do Kinder Trog on Sunday...

You're dividing the difference between your time and the winners time by your own time; you should be dividing the difference by the winners time. The purpose is to give points for your performance against the winner.

    So 1241/2411 = 51.97%

    100% - 51.97% = 48% = 48 points

Well I've had a pleasing month - Arnison Dash, 61%, Helvellyn, 69%, but contrary to usual form, Duddon Short will be my claim for June:-

    Winner 1.58.30 (7110)
    Me 2.26.54 (8814) = 76% please, I think thats a PB.

I'm away for a bit so struggling for races for the next couple of months. Probably nothing during July unless I happen on a race somewhere. August I'm doing an 'O' event at Arisaig, did we agree to count these? If not I might get the Morar Games race in, but wont be back around until September - that months will be Ben Nevis, LDMT (Short), and 3 Shires. Wont be near the internet until early September anyway so have a happy rest of the summer everyone, see you in September.

I've gone and injured my ankle and so I'm not sure I'll be racing any time soon. Went for a walk today after a week's solid rest and it hurt like hell so I think I'd best lay off it for a few more weeks... Which annoyingly means I might have to miss out on Wasdale

    Re: Forum Champs

Stolly: 1241/2411=51.47 not 51.97, so dom's 49 pts is correct

MarkG - have a good time away from t'internet, and look forward to your reports in September...

    SamH - Get Well Soon!

I did Kinder Trog today, but as I suspected I didn't quite manage to improve on my 47 pts for June - I'm still banking on Whaley Waltz for that...

    Re: Forum Champs

I hope I'm not too late to register our points for June. I missed a few of my target races, so have to rely on Bosley. I did pretty well, but unfortunately Simon Bailey turned up. He was 28:09. I was 32:13. I think that's 86 points.

For Mrs Noel, she had Bosley, Bamford and Castleton to pick from, but did best at Bamford. Winner - 31:29; Mrs Noel - 38:03 = 79 points.

For those who plan to do the Cat & Fiddle down-and-up fell relay on Wednesday night (http://noels-training.blogspot.co.uk/p/relay.html), I will be giving times per leg, so you can include your times here on the forum champs.

Well Done noel & Mrs noel

I have gone quiet on here since things went pear-shaped at Whaley Waltz - what should've been "banker" points for me were kiboshed by Si Bailey turning up and breaking the course record

I've not got many races lined up in July either, although I'm getting desperate, so may claim Macclesfield Forest Five even though it's not technically a fell race

I think I've done this a few years back. If I'm remembering the right race, it's steeper than a lot of Peak fell races.

    Re: Forum Champs

I have contour-counted Macc Forest to have over 1100ft ascent in 5.5M, so well into CatB territory... so I'm claiming it!
I'm also going to rock the boat the week after by claiming Dark & White's score event in Dovedale

    Re: Forum Champs

I already have a good time to post for july C90-91, the math still needs doing but I'll be home in time for 2 races over the weekend which I may improve on if a mr Swift or Nobthrob doesn't turn up...
