Been sweeping at the Reservoir Bogs today and it lived up to it's name. It actually stayed dry for most of the race with a little bit of sunshine which was a relief after last nights deluge.

Great to meet Livi and her friend Lorna - you did really well girls and thanks for making it an enjoyable run.

You could try wearing your cag next time you're out in those conditions (that'll be the one Bill lent you)

2 down, 1 to go; Ran well came in about 13th then got disqualified - me and Mart did nt spot CP5 and went straight to Sheepstones after we lost Charlie - Bugger! Worse still we were rumbled as I bragged to Charlie about how we got the edge on him...Charlie made us point out our route on the map...then made sure we fessed-up to Bill. Busted! Still had great run in the sun. See y'all tomorrow.

Hmm bit gutted bout that as it would have been a cracking result. I reckon as we fessed up that shud be taken into consideration and we should be given a five min time penalty instead of disqualification??. Failing that I reckon the Marshall missed us at cp6 as they were tying their laces as we went sailing past???
Top event tho and good fun nonetheless.

Sorry guys, but if you miss a checkpoint, especially on a nav-based event like the Bogs, you have to be DSQ'd.
    Glad you enjoyed it nonetheless.

Surely if you a miss a CP in any race, you have to be DQ'd?

Otherwise next year, I'll do Ennerdale and miss all but the first and last CPs and claim my win!

Seriously though - sounds like a good race today - had planned to come across, but other stuff got in the way this weekend. Well done to everyone who ran! (and organised and marshalled).

Was great to meet you too! Loved the run and the nav - the bogs always make me smile! Wonder if waterproof sock man kept his feet dry?!
See you in the morning :-)
