Trod from Edale Cross into Dimpus Clough is flagged.
bonus race for me this one, after BG support cancelled
IainR - be good to see you, if a bit weird outside of Snowdonia! deffo worth recceing the run in from Big Stone - Dr Pat will see you right
re the countour route around the top of the Sett - I think the race used to go that way many years ago, and it makes more sense as it's essentially a watershed route, but I think the trod under Brown Knoll is a bit sensitive to erosion, plus dropping in/out of the Sett boosts the overall ascent
Black/White Fell Ponies vest time
There is actually flag stones the whole way from Edale Cross around to the style you get to after climbing up from the sett. I assume the flag stones will go all the way to south head eventually as that bit is very soft . There is enough flag stones on this race all ready with the section over mill hill
I understand the necessity for them but too many spoil it as a fell race.

I was on that side of Kinder today for the first time in many years. I couldn't believe the flagstones from edale cross to near South Head. I used to love running that bit as part of my rounds no fun now. Please tell me they haven't paved from Fairbrook to Kinder gates.
Great race, really enjoyed it today. Weather wasn't that bad either, not too cold for a vest.
Cheers to the organisers, marshals etc.

Results now up on the URL below - thanks to Fran for getting these to me super-speedily!
Cheers, Steve
Great race really enjoyed that. Conditions were surprisingly good hence fairly quick times, I was just in a vest, few boggy bits, that run off down the grassy ridge after the climb from the Sett was tough, otherwise good going despite the amount of water.
Thanks Patrick for showing us the end, it definitly helped knowing what the end was going to be like, made a big difference. Cheers
As ever, a lovely race.
Well done on getting the results out so fast.
