Bit too close to the truth guys.
Missus and I have lived in 4 houses (first 2 were tied cottages) since we met - and I've had a chimney fire in all 4 now .

Previous 3 fires we had the fire brigade out, so I decided I had learnt enough from them to do it myself this time :thumbup:.

I put the brushes up this chimney a few weeks ago, as a precaution and see what it was like, found it wasn't lined then (but clean). Hoping to get through the summer before lining it (££££'s), but obviously there was a lot of old soot lying on top of the register plate, which caught. Priority job now.
