1972 Forced to play by Football league to play last game only two days after Cup Final. Only needed a draw to win title and the therefore double but exhausted and lost.

Knew you'd bite Muddy - but it was Cloughie who summed Revie's Leeds when he told Bremner, Giles and all the other thugs who made up that awful team to throw their medals in the bin, because they got them by cheating.:w00t:

I knew you knew I'd bite. But I couldn't help myself. Didn't make Cloughie right, he had a personal vendetta against Revie. A great team, all internationals who could look after themselves. Funny how their international managers didn't think they were "thugs". As for their so called professionalism, it would seem very tame by today's standards.

Yes I had heard that a deal is getting close. It's been rumbling on for the last month or so with different investors but until it's done..........
