    Spawn of the Devil.

Has come to my house, in the shape of a TV .
After 20+ years of listening to the radio, playing music, and holding the moral high ground when others say "Did you see last night's .............."? (complete effwitting garbage).

Today the Missus has bought the bloody thing and had it fitted - it's on now .

Advice please, is my life ruined, should I move into the shed every night, or permanently, maybe move up the road into Twm Sion cati's cave and return for meals??

Suppose there is the TDF and Olympics, but what else has the telly ever done for us? To misquote the Pythons!

Get yourself an alcohol, opiate or benzodiazapine addiction. They're pretty good for blocking things out.

TV's OK for sport, news & the odd film/documentary

it's not compulsory to watch the "complete effwitting garbage" of which you speak (soaps, quizzes, magazine/reality/"talent" shows etc)

of course if the missus becomes a fan of Deal Or No Deal, and you want to watch ITU Triathlon, your gonna need to get TWO TELLIES! :w00t:

    Re: Spawn of the Devil.

    I wish we didn't.
I don't mind the odd documentary but we have hundreds of channels of mindless drivel to get through before the inevitable cries of "there's nothing on!"
Which makes me wonder why they bother with HD, 3D and all that guff.
So you can watch sh1te in glorious 3D I suppose, in an attempt to kid you that it isn't in fact the same sh1te that was on before...
