Thanks for the feedback you two. I was hoping I could take it, just to download at the end of the weekend to see how far and how much height i had run, but I guess I'll be leaving it at home. Strange that my Forerunner is banned, but altimeters are allowed? Surely one of those fancy Suunto watches that give accurate altitude readouts is more use than a Forerunner when looking for a control in the mist?

no i am sure foil blanket is ok for SLMM. Each event has it's litle foibles

weather recently flippers might be good. Got caught in driving rain, plus a little thunder and lightning on Pendle yesterday and suddenly felt very cold and very under-dressed. Luckily it ddn't last too long
I thought it was foil blanket for SLMM but have not checked. Know the LAMM say bivvy bag, not blanket.
there's no mention of blanket either I believe. Just checking I've not missed anything, although for £2 at go outdoors a foil blanket is hardly a strain on the exchequer!
I'm hoping for a still, cool weekend with very thick clag down to valley level. Then those of us who can navigate but can't run for toffee will be in with a chance. Except for a stiff breeze & clear skies in the evenings to shift the midges of course.
