17.4km/560m taking in the first bit of the Clay Bank East Race before dropping towards Ingleby Greenhow to take on The Incline
    Attachment 6192,
1.24km/213m and all runnable. Steady in 9.48 - just a scouting mission for some future tortuous sessions - before heading back via the Urra Moor Trig.

Very pleased housemate made a big Sausage casserole (insert euphemism here) for dinner.

2nd Snowdon race recce done; exactly (give or take a second) the same time as last time; 1:47. Descents still need work. First outing for new Salomon fellcross shoes, quite pleased with them.

3 full climbs of Mt Famine,4reps of the steep Kinder Trog climb from the Sett and 12 reps of the last bit of South Head.

2 and a half hours and about 5500 ft of climbing all in the rain and fog.

Must say I've had more fun on the fells but good last hard run before Wasdale

First day of my summer hols (god bless Shipley College !). Started it as I do every year, with a steady 9.3 mile trot up Smons Seat. I never tire of the view at the top. Happy days............

Quick 4 or 5 km this morning, followed by toughest session of the year this afternoon:

Spent an hour in a giant teddy bear suit at our library, so hot in there! Particularly when a toddler tried to feed the bear and blocked my ventilation/mouth/vision with a rice cake...
