Joe will be back home at The Huntsman, Thurlstone this afternoon (19/7/2012) after a tremendous effort from both Joe and his pal Pete Holder, an accomplished out door enthusiast at 21 years old.

Ian, you are just like someone who tells you what happens at the end of a film before you've watched it.

Well done lads. You made it sound so easy.

Anyone out there done all the munros and tops? I originally planned on doing both but have decided on just the munros after a few mishaps trying to find tops in clag.

hope to finish them in within 3 years (munros that is) about 45 to go. RobW is your man he's probably done them twice...

Mind you the boys Joe and Pete after their round did a BG 2 weekends ago in 21.47.

    Re: All the Munros...

I set off to do Munro's and tops but it becomes a massive chew on I found. I've now reverted to just Monro's unless I can easily pick off the tops. The day that ended it for me was doing a Munro somewhere then having to trog off over some desolate moor in the pouring rain on a bearing to pick up two tops of indistinct character. Its great for your nav skills mind and when you're in the mood worth doing.

Good effort!! 62 days sounds vaguely similar to a Macc Harriers lad who similarly did them car-based, a few decades ago. It was the record at the time IIRC
