    Re: Being chased by dogs

Really? Again?... I stick by my post the last time this one came up...

I'll sum up how this'll develop.

Someone will post advocating giving the dog a good kicking.

Someone will post decrying dog abuse.

There will be lots of accusations about tarring all dog owners/non-dog owners (delete as appropriate) with the same brush.

Finally (eventually) a sensible consensus will be reached that not all dogs are bad, owners who have their dogs off the leads and can't control them are idiots and that kicking dogs or using pepper spray is generally a bad idea.

    Anyway, cows are far worse

true and I got attacked by a buzzard when out the MTB the other day, a badger looked at me funny and a raven had a very threatening demeanour.. it's a wonder we survive any runs.

This thread would also not be complete without discussing the topic that dogs can sense whether you're scared. So it's best if you are scared of dogs to stop being scared of dogs during those critical moments when you are just about to be chased by a big scary dog.

Yes, you have been warned. No human is safe from his ferocious tail wagging
