Apparently not everyone agrees with us though. Conservative MP Aidan Burley for example reckons it was all a load of "leftie multi-cultural rubbish."
Like most I thought it was mainly excellent - I guess it is de rigueur in some circles to criticise such things. Macca was a bit sad - he just screeches any remotely high notes - and what has Hey Jude got to do with the Olympics? I also thought the vocal in Come Together was way out of tune. Nice to see the NHS acknowledged.

He should have sung 'With a Little Luck' which Mark Cavendish didn't have today unfortunately!

Macca should be ashamed of himself, terrible performance. The sound engineer wants to try another career too.
As for Cav I thought he hit the nail on the head when he said people are happier to lose than to see him win. Germany should be ashamed of themselves. Fantastic effort from team GB imo, though lets hope Wiggo ain't spanked himself too much for the TT.

Anyone any ideas on why Froome, Wiggo and Cav were riding Team GB secret weapons and not Dogma's?

They will be Dogmas or at least Pinos because Pino provide all of BCs bikes these days.

So let me get this right. The German team should be ashamed because they didn't lead Cavendish to a British sprint victory?

That thinking belongs with the BBC announcer saying that Vino is a drug cheat whilst failing to mention the heroic British Mr Millar belonging in the same category.

And did you hear the sound leak over the well informed BBC saying "Col. What does that mean?" Well it means Colombia where riders who win an Olympic Silver Medal can come from.

The rules do allow for non-British winners.

Team Sky ride Pinarello, GB Cycling don't, hence Millar was on a Cervelo and Wiggins and Cavendish were on UKSI top secret bikes.

No, because they made no attempt to lead Griepel to a victory.

Yes I know who rides what (please don't confuse me with one of these clowns thats only been interested in Cycling since Wiggo's victory), notice I made no mention of Millar riding a Dogma. I was just interested in why those 3 had chosen to ride the uk frame over there usual team bikes, and why Millar and Stannard had chosen to stick with what they know
