Legs are tired and megga twitchy now.

Very similar to stagger, windy ride home last night and today. Total for week is about 120km and 1500m climbing.
Took the bike out for a spin - probably only the second time this year (not counting cycling to the pub). 32 miles, 1700'. Struggled on the two short sharp climbs on the way back from a complete lack of fitness. Going to lie down and recover until about Wednesday I reckon! :w00t:
135km on a great route round east Surrey / north Kent @ 27kph.
quite a big week - about 250km in total.
24 miles and 3,000ft of ascent on the singlespeed rigid.
Lakeland Sportive for me today. From Milnthorpe the route went out through Lindale and and the South Lakeland lanes up through Grizedale Forest and to Hawkshead before looping back round via Far Sawrey and back to the start. Great sunny morning and lovely route. 54 miles and about 2600 feet of climbing.
54 miles and 1838 ft @ 17.4 ave, glorious sunny day but legs were very tired, cut my ride short as the other guys set off for bigger hills.
I'd be interested to know: are there any cyclists out there who enter fell races on the strength of their cycling fitness alone? With little or no running. If so, what distance and how do you generally get on?
Hi, yes I do and have done in the past. I even got draughted in to doing the National 3 Peaks on the strength of the cycling fitness not having done any running for a year just cycle racing. BUT I took half the heel of my foot and ached for days, did enjoy the experience and it was probably the sitting in the bloody car that made me ache (see my story on how not to ache in the 3 Peaks :-).
As for distance I can usually race about 5 miles off the cycle fitness the hillier the better and show a clean pair of heels to some of the lads who have been racing constantly, really :w00t:
