Iain,
You should put those comments in the European Races section, they may be of interest to other people.

MWIS forecast for Friday love to have that!
Chance of cloud free Summits?
80%
But most mountain areas will be dry and increasingly warm, with winds falling light across Wales.

forecast for Saturday looks pretty good
but Snowdonia manufactures it's own weather - my prediction is that clouds will stack up over the course, so it'll be claggy/drizzly... which are my fave conditions!
oh, and does anyone know if water is supplied at PyP?
did most of my packing last night
kit, maps, food - check!
looking forward to this now
(Fell Ponies vest will be classic black/white for this one...)
Apparently it is a Pennine Championship Race so there will be a few of us down. This is going to be, by far, my toughest race, plus the fact I have been struggling with an IT band injury for the last month so have not really done the climbing I would have liked, but still really looking forward to it. I just love Snowdonia!
Get the map out tonight and start jotting down the necessary compass settings for all those sneaky short cuts![]()
the descent off Glyder Fawr should be "interesting" for anyone with ITB probs... :w00t:
Where is the split in Snowdonia - will we be East or West?
Chance of cloud free Summits?
20% west to 70% east
In case anybody is not aware this is a little slide show of the later section of the race
