A really good turn out for our last club 'torcher of the 'winter'. 5+miles / c 900ft from the White Lion followed by cheesy baked goods, chips and Landlord

Tonight's finale of the Bowland Bat-Runs saw 12 of us leave Storr's Common for the summit of Ingleborough. Despite a balmy afternoon in Lancaster, it was a very blustery evening from the off with a sharp wind from the NE.
Due to our regular hostelry of choice in this neck of the woods, Marton Arms at Thornton-in-Lonsdale, being currently closed, the apres-run was taken at The Craven Heifer in the centre of Ingleton. Having participated in all 45 of this winter's Bat-Runs organised by Andy Walmsley, Pam Farmer ( wife of the Fiendsdale RO ) was winner of the Bat Trophy .... points are awarded for attendance, 2 for the 'tame' Tuesday runs at Beacon Fell and 3 for the 'feral' Thursday runs further afield .... Roll-On November!

Well I for one am kind of pleased that headtorch season is over, having run in the dark four or five times a week since late October, mostly just me and the pooch. It will be nice for the semi-permenant headtorch dent in my forehead to be given a chance to undent itself

Stolly, was that you descending the lower section of Fell Lane, at about 6.45 p.m. last night, as our slow group was heading up?

6 x 150ft hill-reps on the Beacon with Stef, all ran. The moon popped out as we were on the way down from our last rep
