Aye, top day out. Ran leg 2 and it was tough. Fast for the first two thirds with some brutal climbs towards the end. Thanks very much to all at Mercia and everyone else involved in the organisation today.

Totally agree with your summary of leg 2! Brutal to the point of sadism! or may be I've been doing too much road running and am getting soft...

Our first attendance at FRA Relays - a brilliant day out, many thanks to Mercia et al for the flawless organisation and great courses.

Sadly I can't say the same about our performance, but we certainly enjoyed ourselves

I thought this was a brilliant relays. I loved every second of leg 2! The organisation was second to none, really inspired plan to use the rectory field and have the dibber at the top so commentator could tell us who was about to appear, the courses were taped expertly, nothing hadn't been considered to make it a fantastic event. Totally excellent

Without wanting to sound repetitive, I agree with everything that's been said.
Great organisation, welll marshalled, lovely hog roast.

It was also good to have a very close race both in the mens and ladies open races this year. In the mens, the first 4 teams set off for the final leg within 20 seconds of each other. In the ladies race, I think I'm right in saying the lead changed over during the last leg.

Our open team was very pleased to be top 20. Having looked at the times, this was thanks to a great effort from ba-ba and StevieK on leg 3 - nice one lads.

A brilliantly organised event - and you ordered good weather. I could have done without Langdale on the day before, but was drafted in as a late replacement - on Leg 2:thunbdown:

The other downside was: I stupidly left my Garmin 310X & chest strap on one of the tables in the kit tent at the UKA Fell Relays in Church Stretton on Sunday. If you picked it up please contact me.

Matlock AC was very pleased with 20th (despite me and Karl being well and truely nobbled by the above on leg 3:sneaky:- but we beat DPFR B team:thumbup. It was our first time at the FRA's- we had a grand day out. Many thanks to the organisers.
