    How good were those pies!

Cracker of a race. I didnt feel like I had a good race, but looking back now Im pleased with my result. Good to see Iain, and fail in keeping up with you over the last mile.

    Iain, you finished in 44:!6, I was 44:23. 7th & 8th as you say.

Cheers to the organiser, and the millions of marshalls and tea makers!

Think this has got to be my new favourite race. Even the hail shower half way round didn't spoit it.

Didn't push hard enough on the first climb and paid the price by missing my sub 50 target by a good couple of minutes. But... scenery was superb, company was great and pie and beer afterwards - top notch

What a great race. It was a Pennine Champ race so close to 20 of us made the trip. I seemed to be running with about ten of them during the race! Really enjoyable; like a mini Lakeland Classic. Thanks to the RO for a well organised race and for the tea and pie!!

Thanks to to BCR for a great race, (again) well organised and marshalled, with a lovely pie and hot tea, all for six quid, can't be bad.
As for my race, given the underfoot conditions, was pleased with a modest improvement in time and position.

Thought the start was brilliant... then a mad dash down the road..

Keen for more lakes races now, its just so close at the front end, you could lose 10 places so quickly..

Another grand race in a lovely part of the lakes.
Was happy to shave a little bit of time from last years PB.

I was thinking the same! I cant remember whether it was before or after the first summit, but I thought yourself and I had managed to pull out abit of a gap between us and the main pack, but I turned round and saw what must of been 15/20 guys hot on our heels. - It was right before we started to go left by mistake before spotting the leaders and correcting ourselves.
If I hadnt of had a good descent before crossing the road, I think Id of been alot further down the finishing order.

Fell race eh. Thats what its all about.

You were looking strong and well placed at the summit, Al. Good to see you back in some form.
