Shminty in 4th place says he overshot a junction early on losing him 30secs whilst leading, but that the top 3 then pulled away.

A really enjoyable afternoon out. I enjoyed overhearing two fellow runners discussing how they'd both ended up next to each other in the same waste deep bog and then how they were going to get out of it again. I'd just pulled myself out of a very simlar bog . Looking forward to the Auld Lang Syne!

My son & niece came back with mud splattered all over their faces. Apparently Dave was kicking it at the juniors as they wouldn't move back at the start ! Excellent.

He did indeed - I wouldn't mind, but I was helping him shift the hordes & ended up with half the quarry down my neck...!! Good fun though!

Really enjoyed the race despite the shoulder first fall into a bog. Even better, daughter decided she didn't like the packet of 14 snowballs she won, and so swapped my curlywurly for them!
