It's going to be the warmest year so far - above freezing at all levels I shouldn't wonder.

Very best of luck to everyone taking part in the Tour tomorrow, hope you have a great time and can't wait to hear about your adventures on Sunday.
Good luck Martyn and everybody else tomorrow. Look forward to hearing all about it.
The weather forecast is still pretty grim:

I especially like the bit saying "Walking or any mobility very difficult from fairly low levels upwards in morning"
The bit about ferocious gusts whets the appetite doesn't it.
From personal experience, and depending which route the wind takes, the area around the Grisedale Tarn is likely to be particularly tiresome due to the funneling effect between the flanks of Dollywagon and Fairfield.
I can't wait.
Really disappointed to be missing it. Fighting the weather & the underfoot conditions are the main plus points of the TdH for me. If it was warm & dry it would be a bit of a damp squib. Wind & torrents would be about right for this year after ice in 2010 (which I missed) & the snowdrifts last year.
