7 miles on the local, Cairnwell Hills looked pretty bare of snow.
Heading off to the Highlands tomo and looking forward to it
12.5 miles from Ogden, over Ovenden Moor, Warley Moor, Midgeley Moor and back via Saltonstall and Slaughter Gap. I set off in sunshine and met with clag on the top. Bloody annoying. Lots of boggy stuff that was un-runnable. Well, truth be told, it was my legs that were un-runnable by the time I'd finished.
Furthest I've run since 1984.
Thanks, Fjell Guy. I'm bloody sore now mind. I'm a bit on the hefty side for that sort of caper regularly. Maybe when I've shed a stone or so more. I think 5 to 8 miles is more my thing.
I must come back up and have some runs around Roseberry Topping and Cpt Cooks.
Eight and a half miles with 850 feet of ups. Along the pw from Standedge and then home. Rescued a sheep caught in a fence. The ungrateful beast butted my knee. Nice.
For extra points it looks like I'll not be able to get out tomo either as the repair geezer will be round
Numerous words spring to mind, none of them suitable for this here forum
Yesterday 3mls easy on Touchstone trail. Probably unless in a race the last time I'll run on here as we move tomorrow. Monsal Trail here I come :-)
