There's always the local, but I'd pysched me'self up for an over nighter in the Highlands. Instead I'm mopping floors.

Blast up Blencathra from Scales. Superb cloud inversion. Such a novelty running in the sunshine. Then drove home in the clag.

keeping with the highland theme, 11 mile commute on the cross bike via the north Beauly Firth road and then 23 miles home via the great glen way out of Inverness up to Abriachan forest and down to Muir of Ord, hardly a car to be seen for the whole 2 hours

A few runs this week. Couple hours weds around some unknown territory and then shorter runs aroun 2 and a half miles in the woods next to my house with the dog. 3 successful dog runs...a different story should we come across another dog! He aint too sociable!!
Off Hayfield and Chinley this weekend and probably go to Edale to cheer on the survivors!

Change of plan today.. running partner slept in so change of plan and did 22 miles Beinn a Chaorrain, Beinn Mheadhoin and Derry Cairngorm... should have added Beinn Bhreac on the way out...

Cold day, snow very solid, crampons needed for a lot of it, and lots of time in poor vis, lots of map and compass work. enjoyable day though..
