Accurate enough to upset me on a regular basis

To be fair, relatively cheap domestic kit. Probably not very accurate.

Scales don't have to be dear.. I had two digital scales beside each other from Lidl and Aldi. Both under £15 and I was exact same weight on both scales.

NOTE: What's important is that the scales are on a firm even surface. I tried the scales on a uneven wooden floors and the measurements were all over the place depending on where the scales was placed.

The slightest rocking of the scales is a NO NO. Test each corner of scales with one finger (pressing slightly). If you feel movement try moving scales..

Standing one foot on each scales does not count.

Is it ok to support yourself by resting a hand 'lightly' on the nearby towel rail?

Cheers Finbarr. That's helpful advice and probably explains the anomalies at my mum's house!

Can I submit mine a day early?

Down one kilo to 64kg, which considering I've not been allowed to exercise this last week is ok by me. Want to submit that before I mysteriously put that kilo back on again, whihc no doubt I will!!!

PS, I always weigh myself on my own scales on exactly the same tile on the bathroom floor and I recalibrate them each time. Can't be too sure!!!

Kind of same thing.. My Scales is in a room with dodgy wooden floors but after much effort I found a 'flat' spot which is now marked . Unfortunately it shares the same spot with the drying horse

DrPat 30 posts now . Do I get a present?
