A great run out as usual, & organised to a T. The veggie stew was pretty good at the end too. A slow run for me, & I was struggling from CP4 to the finish. But I was really happy to get round at all, after 5 weeks with no running at all (hip problems then a cold/cough). The snow conditions were really good - easy running as it wasn't deep apart from a handful of drifts. Good to see everyone - keep training hard Daz! I can report that Karen went out to run a few extra miles at the end as promised, to keep her ultra tally going.

    Absolutely brilliant morning out.
The drive over was a breeze, even the high route via the White House and Cragg Vale.
The mud from last week had largely frozen, making for unexpectedly easy going, whilst the light dusting of snow cushioned a lot of the downhills.
The still, cold air was just the right temperature too!
I finished with dry feet as well - the first time I have done so for months and months!
Brilliant start and finish venue and great checkpoints.
I'll definitely be back next year.

My thanks to organisers and all those friendly marshalls out in the snow. My first Hebden and I don't know why I haven't done it before. Checkpoint 3 was amazing! In the shelter with plenty of hot tea and sandwiches and marshalls pampering you  I didn't want to leave

What a brilliant morning out great Marshalls, food and drinks on the way round. Lovely pie at finish and they even let me have seconds. Was well happy with a sub 4 time in the conditions. Lovely acclimatisation for my ski trip next week. :w00t:

Great day out in the snow. Thanks Alan and Carol for being determined for it to go if at all possible. The marshalls were cheery as usual and the photographer was in very high spirits. Good food at the end too. Great to meet up with so many friends and thanks especially to Protodoc who kept me going, chatted and showed me the way a couple of times. Going out to add the extra miles was hard work but mission accomplished and just over 27 miles run.

Longdogs, you're a legend for standing half way up the climb to the Pike handing out sweets. I remember thinking whoever was standing there must be hard as nails, then I realised I was right! Nice to meet you

I wasn't sure if I could make it as our road was covered in snow last night but it was all systems go this morning when I looked out and saw it was clear. Thanks to all the fast boys and girls who cut a good path through the snow drifts especially on the second half, it made it a lot easier for us slow coaches!!

Well, I had a brilliant day today, this being my only long run since October and having done only one fell race last year due to injury, I was not sure I would get all the way round but with a bit (lot) of walking I was just fine
The snow made it great fun and I am really pleased that I got round the long route, no matter how long it took me...actually 6 minutes quicker than last time in 2010!
Great food, fab marshalls and so lovely to see some friendly faces that I have not seen for a long time! Well done all x
Longdogs thankyou so much for the sweety up on the moor.
Mulled wine topped off a fab day...and my legs are feeling great

Bit late posting, fab run out again this year, still managed to resist the dripping sandwiches at CP3! Great to catch up with Nick Ham, Derby Tup, Stef F and Karen. Thanks Karen you really kept me going and really showed your class by leaving me far behind on the last climb:w00t:
Will be back for third time next year, this really is the best bang for your buck race out there - outstanding
