I fully understand and sympathise WP. You are a bit constrained with such a large thoroughbred flock, almost a commercial shepherd.
My flock is very small and part of a self-contained smallholding.

The beauty of the Parkrun start time is that once or twice a year you can have a 'local blowout' and feast on an early morning Parkrun, followed by a mid-morning fell race/run and an even an afternoon XC. And when it coincides with a friends 40th birthday its too hard to resist.

The beauty of your local Parkrun (Preston/Burnley for you, Marple/Woodbank/Oldham etc for me) on most Saturdays is that one can run it at whatever pace and still be back home for 10.00 in time to look after ones flock. In my case, take my flock to 10:30 football, sledging in the fields, swimming, etc. Priceless, literally, except for petrol/pedal-power. I do kinda think you have come around to this 'constructive' side of Parkrun?!

Enjoy you outings till we eventually get to meet.
