    Hi Will

Training has been a bit frustrating to be honest, I was hoping to have recced 3 or 4 legs by now, but have only managed 1 and a bit, this has mainly been due to bad weather on the weekends I have been able to get to the Lakes.

I managed to get part way round leg 2 with Vespa last week before we decided that discretion was better that valour and headed back. In truth I wasn’t really recceing the route above Clough head as every time I raised my head the wind justblew ice particles into my eyes.

I am looking at getting back down next weekend for another crack at leg 2. Phsically no real injuries as yet to bother me, I have my entry in for the Glasgow to Edinburgh Ultra at the begining of April, bit flat but it will be time on my legs.

Yeah weather put me off last week too. Hopefully thats the last of the serious freezing weather for the year.

Do you just recce on weekends ? I'' be heading up every few weeks but probably week days.

I'll mostly be doing weekdays initially (maybe a couple of weekend days nearer the time)
I usually just pick the day with the best weather forecast
hoping to do one this week actually
    Monday & Tuesday horrifically wet
    Wednesday horrifically windy
so looking like Thursday or Friday atm...

I'm thinking of a leg 2 next Saturday Tahr if you're about . Old un let me know if you want to join in (rather than do "boring old" legs 3 or 1)

Thanks for all the offers of company on the Legs, I will have a chat with my mate and see which day is best, of course the weather may make that choice for us nearer the end of the week, so I will let you know.

I can only really get down to the Lakes at weekends due to work.

    Worry not Tahr
I did all my early training in the Pentlands
I never got down to the Lakes until mid Feb, then fairly regular recces every 2 or 3 weeks had me well prepared for my end of May round.
