I was just seconding IDP's request to get back on track and not commenting on your post. I should have edited the quote to reflect that, sorry!

I wasn't criticising the RO at all, more a blanket suggestion/recommendation for all Champs races to be bound by automatically as part of the FRA Championship rules, rather than at the discretion of each RO. It would rightfully deflect a lot of flak away from the ROs who as you say, have enough to deal with.

There's still a lot of potential places which will dished out to people on the waiting list over the next few days. But 590 entries today mean that not everyone will get a place.

And just for the record I never felt critized by anyone, it was a good debate, well worth having. Although off topic do I've started this thread http://forum.fellrunner.org.uk/showt...dure-for-races I'd be interested in people's views over on that.

Several good points were raised about the increasing popularity of our sport and the effects this has on participants.

Don't forget to change your brass at Burton-in-Kendal services, they do a great exchange rate but only on the way up.

Speaking as Borrowdale's only pensioner I can confirm that I will be there! But beware the upcoming pensioners around here.
