I can't believe it won CBOB twice! not really good enough to win once. (although it's not on this list)
Had a few Mary Janes over Christmas and new year... an undiscovered gem for me. Excellent stuff.
Currently brewing my own beer at home. Fermentation is complete and I transferred it to the barrel (i.e. big plastic tub) on Tuesday night. Should be ready in a couple of weeks.
I think it'll be ironing all morning, then a walk in the snow with the dog to the pub at lunchtime for a couple of pints of Unicorn. It's a tough life as a househusband. I can't run it as I can hardly stand up after the Hebden on Saturday. Unicorn's drinkable, but not top of my list. The pub's good though, and very dog-friendly - the Leigh Arms on the A49 near Acton Bridge if anyone wants to join me!
An imromptu & snow induced day off today. So after making snowmen with the children & a cracking run on the moors, I decided to take the children out for lunch in The Queens Head. Had a lovely pint of Wall's Brewery Gun Dog, followed by a belting Moorhouses Blond Witch. Came home & made another snowman, then needed an afternoon nap. What a great day !

and colchester - no1, a brown 4.1% ale but really flavoursome 80 out of 100
A pint of Santas Dark Side followed by an excellent Black Band Porter in a snowy Ilkley tonight.
