Its street parking and there are usually some friendly neighbourhood CVFR marshalls directing you when you arrive.

From up here in sunny (joke) Scotland news reaches that the Pennines has copped another dump of the white stuff. Any update on ground conditions and prospects for Saturday? Will I be marking out a new course on Friday and shall I bring a stretcher party? Heading south after work on Thursday so start forming an orderly queue in The Fox and Goose in Hebden Bridge from about 8.30pm to make good those pledges made by JBF last year.

Beautiful sunny morning in the West Riding today Bob, (albeit two valleys away from Hebden Bridge). Ground likely to be extremely wet on Saturday. Flippers and a snorkel might be more useful than the stretcher :w00t:

We had a bit more snow yesterday... A few Calder Valley people were out running on the moors above Heptonstall last night, there was probably about an inch of very slushy snow, although I reckon most of it will probably have melted by now. Ground was very wet everywhere, and some very deep and icy puddles on the paths... lovely!

I believe I have fulfilled all my pledges...although I seem to recall telling everyone else they had to buy you a pint. 180 odd pints of anything might not do you too much good. There really should be an ill green smiley option on this forum.

Forecast between now and Saturday looks OK. I think cold and wet underfoot should be a fairly accurate description of the likely conditions. I ended up sitting down in a bog last night - nice ice bath for those glutes mid run!

Just a quick question if I may - Are there any drink stations around the course at all?

Yes, there's juice, water and biscuits at CP4, which is also en route from CP10 to 11 on the way back. As long as the marshals don't eat them before you get there, there's a few jelly teddies at the other manned checkpoints too.
