The Raid, as recommended on here.

And 'Grave Of The Fireflies' cheery ending that.

I've been struggling with Looper, watching a bit of it here and there over the past few nights. I thought it was supposed to be good (93% on Rotten Tomatoes) but I'm just not getting it. I don't really like the world its set in, don't like the drugs to the eyeballs, don't like it that everyone is selfish and horrible, don't like the children killing thing, don't like the torture of a looper when young having immediate effects on his future self (believe or not that makes sense in the film), don't as yet understand the TK thing and as for the time travel it is of course bollocks (that said the time travel in Terminator and Bill & Ted was equally bollocks but also brilliant at the same time). I've still got 15 minutes to go so it could all turn out great in the end.....

Saw a screening of the Directors cut just before Christmas with an introduction & question & answer session with Robin Hardy. Brilliant:thumbup:

I'm 60 minutes into Lawless.... Not sure I can last much longer. Interesting to note after I'd bought it that Nick Cave (The Bad Seeds) wrote the screenplay.

Went to see 'Hitchcock' tonight at the Bradford Media Museum. Very good, came home and ordered a Hitchcock boxed set.
