Thread: Strava: FRA club..

    Re: Strava: FRA club..

If you set up segments on a race route, you effectively can get splits from those who do the race and download to strava (or run the race route at any other time!). Though it only really works for the sections of races where there is little route choice as I think there's only a limited tolerance in terms of deviation off the route from A to B when 'doing' a segment. But for races on paths for sure it would work well. So you could for example get climb and descent splits within a race.

Great news - Its about time someone challenged Timo Austino and some of his Scout scar 'sprints'! Its great for biking as well. Look fwd to seeing your name on some of the segment leaderboards

Thanks for setting it all up Paul. I suggest a pint or a pie, or both.

I'm in, although the majority of my runs are pan flat.
I use it mainly for the segments - I log all my training more intently and with notes on attackpoint.org, set up as an orienteering training log, now attracts people from AR as well as FR (I'm 'ba-ba', Oli Johnson is 'OJ', Rhys FR is 'Rhesus', Rob Baker 'RobB', Robbie Simpson 'RobS'.. etc. etc.). Again AP is free to sign up, but to get some sweet additions (gps capabilities, advanced inputs etc.) I pay $25 a year - for an amateur site it's pretty damn good!
