Hi Vic,
The string in the tail is a big final climb.
I think its goes up, then down a bit, then up a bit, then down, then up (this is the string), then a final down (which is a smashing final run in after a hard 6 miles or so).

What is this sting in the tail you speak of MarkyMark?

I haven't run the course, but there was a post a few pages back about changes to the course that talks about 'the sting', and some guy's in my club mentioned it as well - so it must be true!

Sounds like it will be great fun, and the met office is predicting sleet at 9am, even better! - although sadly that will no doubt change
