    Re: Overweight to Race-weight

I've had no discipline with regards to food this last week or so and I hardly ran at all the week before the High Peak Marathon and then ate like a horse after it. I was expecting to have lost some weight but put it on instead although my legs and bum feel a bit more muscley so perhaps I can kid myself that its strength and not fat that is increasing  I'm going to do my weigh-in tonight before I go to yoga as its my birthday tomorrow and I can't see myself holding back on cake for that!

I genuinely believe that I will do better as the lighter nights and warmer days approach as I tend to live off of salad and become far more active generally. My busy work life helps too as I forget to eat proper meals!

Well done! I'm not surprised after the mileage you've put in this last week or so!

My weight too is up @ 77.8 (+0.3kg) Pity really I was 76.5 Saturday morning after the 15 miler in the hills on Friday afternoon. I think I overloaded on the recoveries over the weekend

ha ha, well, I don't expect anyone else to notice but the muscley bits go hard when you tense them and feel different to soft fatty bits that you still wobble no matter how hard you tense up! My legs have got some sticky out side muscles that didn't show last year and my trousers are tighter around the bum and thighs but not around the waist so I'm assuming that I'm building my fell running muscles. I could well be deluding myself though but I'd rather stay in my 'happy place'

(...you could always use a bit of creative visualisation next time your wife asks, both of you will be winners! )

Bloody hell, these things come round quick. That's me not eating for 48hrs, that'll be healthy.

I'd like to say my anti booze campaign has been successful, but the urges for beer are still kicking on a Saturday night. Not that I've relented lately.

Oh no its that time again, how quickly it comes round. Fear that when I step on the scales tomorrow they are going to go the wrong way! A heavy weekend with full english breakfast, pasta and only a 9 mile run and a night of dancing like a loon! trying to burn off the multiple G&Ts!

Out for a long run tomorrow, tempted to weigh myself after. That's not cheating us it.
